Unphotographable - The Blue Line

This is a photo I did not take. A young-ish woman on the blue line in Chicago. She’s wearing black & white saddle shoes with pink bobby socks. She has on a flowery polyester dress that I swear came straight out of my grandmas 1970’s closet. In her hand is a vintage Walkman. I actually witness her eject the cassette tape and flip it over. And of course her old school headphones are plugged into the Walkman. On her other arm, held in the crook of her elbow, is a shiny black vinyl handbag that looks like a record. From the bag she pulls out a vintage flip phone, I can’t image what she’s even looking at on it, it can’t have internet access. Her lips are painted an orangey-red color which complements her black framed sunglasses that say “house of blues” along the side. But the pièce de résistance is the hot pink shear head scarf that is holding in place her perfectly styled 1950’s hair-do.

That is commitment to your craft, at its finest.

Unphotographable - The Laundrymat

This is a photo I did not take. A young man is waiting for the washing machine cycle to finish. He's holding a large, worn, black Bible. He also has a tattoo that covers the entire back of his hand that reads "666".
